FormPak’s FlexFlo line of flexible screw conveyors offers a cost-effective and easy way to efficiently elevate almost any dry material. These units include an infeed hopper, a flexible UHMW tube or casing, a helical auger, and a drive discharge head.
They pull material up the tube, typically at a 45-degree incline, and can be up to 40 feet long. They’re easy to install and the flexible tube and screw arrangement allow for them to be bent over, under, or even around obstructions.
There are four types of augers: flat, round, square, and bevel. Each is tuned specifically for moving materials with varying characteristics. These units can be tuned to the desired feeding rate by changing the screw’s diameter. They can also be controlled by variable frequency drives to adjust the RPM.
Many options are available with these units, such as center cores for materials that tend to flush or aerate, hard piping versus flex tubing, agitators or aeration systems for materials that might bridge or cavitate in the hopper, and bulk bag infeed hopper with or without a back brake cover. These units may also be mounted to a mobile cart and can include easy clean designs for toolless. disassembly and cleaning.
